Trinity College Dublin agrees to divest Israeli investment in deal to end student protest that has closed campus

After five days of student protests that closed Trinity College's Dublin campus, the college has reached an agreement under which it will “work towards” ending all ties with Israel, students say.

Students are dismantling their protest camp that has closed the Trinity College Dublin campus for almost a week after the university agreed to cut ties with Israel.

An agreement was reached between the student-led Trinity Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) group and the college on Wednesday afternoon, after five days in which students camped out in the central Fellows' Square and the public was barred from campus – including the world-famous Book of Kells exhibition.
