TWO men were found dead in a house shortly after moving in, according to officials.
The victims were identified as Terry White, 57, and Roger Dale Williamson, 36, by Tishomingo County Coroner Mack Wilemon.
The coroner told the local news station WTVA that the men died of carbon monoxide poisoning after placing a generator under their home in Belmont, Mississippi.
It was raining at the time and the two men had just moved into the house, the news station reported.
The power was cut off by the previous owners, who knew the victims, when they moved.
White and Williamson had borrowed the power generator and apparently placed it under their house to keep it out of the rain.
Their bodies were later found after a case of carbon monoxide poisoning.
No further details were released.
According to an obituary, Williamson worked in construction for 16 years, building carports for a family friend’s company.
He was buried in his native Pennsboro, West Virginia.
He is survived by several aunts and uncles.
White worked as a welder for 40 years, according to his obituary.
He had seven children and 15 grandchildren.
A funeral was not held and he was buried in Golden, Missouri.
White was preceded in death by both his parents and a son.
