U.S. health officials said they have significantly expanded their efforts to vaccinate monkeypox. Monkeypox has recently been identified in more than 300 people nationwide and in thousands in countries that are not normally found.

Federal health officials said Tuesday that the Center for Disease Control and Prevention is now recommending vaccines to people with presumed exposure as well as confirmed exposure to viral diseases. This latest recommendation also covers men who are with men who have recently had multiple partners in areas where monkeypox is known or where the virus is endemic.
