UK weather: Brits commit to 27C summer heat amid concerns over garden hose ban | Weather | News

July will see a heat wave with forecasters predicting temperatures into the mid-30s later in the month. Water bosses have warned Britons to conserve water to avoid a garden hose ban as it warms again this month, with forecasts of up to 36C in London and the south of England by July 15.

According to WXCHARTS, the weather will be warm and dry in most of England this week, but Scotland will be hit with showers until Wednesday.

Nights will be mild with temperatures around 11 degrees across the country.

Meteorologist Rachel Ayers said: “It will also warm up in the coming days, especially in the southeast, where temperatures of around 24C are possible on Wednesday.”

Temperatures at the start of the week for the south of England will be in the high teens to early 20s.

Temperatures in Scotland will average 17C on Tuesday, with the north of England around 20C and the south 23C.

BBC meteorologist Stav Danaos said: “By the end of the week by Friday, the high pressure area will exert its force over the land with sunny spells.”

Looking to the second half of the week and into the weekend, temperatures in most of England will reach 20 degrees, with highs of 27C in the south east.

The founder of the Weather Outlook, meteorologist Brian Gaze, said: “The weather is extremely hotter than usual in Southern Europe, even by their standards – and some of it could be coming to the UK.

“It’s certainly way too early to be sure it’s going to happen, but there’s a possibility it will get warm as we move through the second half of this month in the UK.”

He added: “If we start drawing in that air from southern Europe, we could see temperatures reach 35C and even a little higher.”
