Ukraine carries out drone attack in Russia near Putin's palace | World news

Vladimir Putin finally felt Ukraine's wrath after an attack near him Black Sea palazzo – worth almost £1,000,000,000.

Drones targeted locations near the city of Gelendzhik, Krasnodar Region, not far from the 17,691-square-meter mansion that was reportedly belong to the warlordMonday night.

This is so understood Ukraine's deepest strike within Russia since the beginning of the invasion.

Oil refineries and weapons depots are usually the target of Ukrainian drone strikes, but the terrain could have been what the military was after that time.

Governor of Krasnodar Region Veniamin Kondratiev confirmed the strike, adding: 'In the village of Krinitsa, debris from one of the drones damaged a house under construction.

'In the hamlet of Dzhankhot, a drone fell on a tree. A fire was extinguished. Preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties.”

He insisted that all four drones had been destroyed by Russian air defense units.

Another drone was also downed outside Moscow on Monday, regional governor Andrei Vorobyov said.

In a statement on Telegram, he said fragments from the crashed plane landed on a private house in Balashikha, just east of the capital, around 9 p.m. local time.

Those inside the house managed to escape and no one was injured.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense units had destroyed a “small-scale airborne object.”

Ukraine has repeatedly tried to attack behind Russian lines – often with drones – although Russia's response to the new technology used in unmanned vehicles has improved in recent months.

The latest attacks come as Volodymyr Zelensky made another plea to his allies to allow him to deploy Western weapons on enemy lines in Russia.
