THE US MARINE accidentally released a cache of unedited UFO files showing warships buzzing through “dangerous” mysterious drones.
More than 60 pages about the encounters were uploaded by the military with the file name “proposed editing” – suggesting the unaltered documents were not intended for public release.
Names and contact details of those involved remain in the documents, which appear to be framed in red and intended to be removed from the file.
And the documents reveal encounters with unknown drones that flew over six warships from March to July 2019 — something that has fueled the debate about UFOs in Washington DC.
UFOs — no longer commonly known as Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) — have stepped off the edge in a major national security debate.
The files shed light on encounters believed to have been with unknown drones rather than truly unexplained objects, but continue to raise questions.
Mysterious craft are described as sometimes making “dangerous” approaches to American ships, coming within just 500 feet of them.
Drones seem to orbit the ships, often without communication – and some fly over the ships.
And there has been no report of US warships firing at the mysterious craft despite their proximity.
The documents suggest that some of these drones are likely to be spying that collects data.
And after the files were accidentally uploaded earlier this week, they have since been removed by the US Navy.
Website links leading to the documents now redirect to the service home page.
In one of the most notable encounters, USS Bunker Hill tracked 11 unidentified drones.
The drones — described as “quadcopter-style” — ranged in attitude from 1,400 feet to a whopping 21,000 feet.
Maps published in the files show the drones orbiting the warship from approximately 4 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In the area was a Hong Kong-flagged bulk carrier M/V Bass Strait, with whom the US vessel attempted to contact but received no response.
It is suspected that part of the drone incident was attempts to spy on American warships, such as one involved in the USS Paul Hamilton.
The destroyer was sailing toward Long Beach when it spotted three drones flying overhead – again with M/V Bass Strait lurking in the area.
USS Harpers Ferry – a landing ship – was threatened by eight unknown drones, three of which flew over the ship at about 150 feet.
Photos in the documents show one of the objects in the sky, while a map shows the craft flying over the ship’s path.
The drones created a “dangerous situation,” according to the ship’s commander during the meeting from 5:10 am to 6:23 am.
And in another event, six objects flew in a “consistent pattern” in an event that lasted an hour and 25 minutes over the USS Zumwalt.
USS Zumwalt is one of the most advanced destroyers in the US Navy, known for its sleek stealth design.
Sailors saw flashing red and green lights close to the ship, and at one point one of the drones whizzed over the flight.
Also included are photos of green triangular shapes spotted above the USS Russell.
The destroyer saw “green, white and red” lights in the sky – spotted with three drones.
USS Russell changed course to chase the drones, but eventually lost sight of the object.
And an unknown vessel described as a “pleasure craft” was identified nearby, but failed to respond to the communications attempts.
US lawmakers spoke to intelligence chiefs about the encounters last month while confessing to investigating 400 sightings and 11 near misses in the past year.
It was the first hearing of its kind in 20 years.
The intelligence chiefs tried to explain the difficulty of tracking these objects and showed congressmen two videos.
And while they didn’t mention aliens, they did admit that some of the 400 encounters they have in their books are truly inexplicable.
Photos of the green triangles were shown — and said to be from unknown drones being tracked by the US Navy.
It came out of the back of a landmark 2021 Pentagon report after the leak of three videos showing US Navy encounters with unexplained objects.
UFOs are now discussed by former intelligence officials, former military personnel, lawmakers, NASA and even former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
NASA has even revealed their own plan to study UFOs – but remained clear they didn’t explicitly associate it with aliens.
While it’s unclear what the phenomenon actually is, it seems there’s something in the air that can’t be explained.
