an unbelievable Ukrainian recoil that one . forced Russian retreat was caught on camera this week. Footage from the Ukrainian armed forces showed the moment when two Russian BMP infantry fighting vehicles “were precisely hit by Ukrainian artillery fire” in Verkhnokamianka, Luhansk. According to the Ukrainian soldiers who launched the ambush, at least one of the tanks was destroyed.
Serhiy Haidai, the governor of Luhansk Oblast, confirmed the backlash this morning when he said two besieged villages, including Verkhnokamianka, remained under Ukrainian control.
He revealed that Russian troops “tried to go to Verkhnokamianka, but were rejected”.
Mr Haidai added: “Russians suffered losses and retreated.”
A report from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army stated: “On July 16, the Russians attempted to advance towards the Verkhnokamianka, but were thwarted, withdrew and lost personnel.”

Another attempt to attack the Ukrainian armed forces was organized near Bilohorivka, but this one was also repulsed.
The Luhansk governor added that Russian forces had taken towns in the region only to be driven back by Ukrainian forces a day later.
This has prevented the Russians from achieving their goal of taking the entire region and has frustrated President Putin’s war plan.
This comes at a time when Britain’s chief of defense staff, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, has claimed that Russia has lost more than 30 percent of its clout on land.
