The group behind the annual VR Awards and other initiatives, AIXR, announced this week the launch of a new immersive innovation center in the UK.
The center, scheduled to open in early 2024, is located in Colchester and provides access to a variety of tools and resources for VR and AR. These include mixed reality capture studios, what is described as a “dedicated haptic zone” in press releases, educational events and training.
In addition to the function space, there is also a coworking space and an office space.

Elsewhere, we are still accepting nominations for this year’s VR Awards, which will run until July 8. This year’s ceremony will return to the face-to-face event on November 3rd.
