Warwickshire crash: boy fights for his life after horror mini-motorcycle crash | UK | News

A boy is left fighting for his life after he was hit by a small motorbike and suffered serious head injuries.

The crash happened in a field just off Old Brickyard Lane in Napton, Warwickshire, near where a village show was taking place.

Paramedics were called to the scene yesterday and took the boy with “life-threatening head injuries” to hospital, where he remains.

The Napton Horse, Pony and Dog Show was held all day, but it is not yet clear whether the incident took place at the show itself.

Following the incident, police are asking motorists to come forward with dashcam footage.

A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said: “Earlier this evening a young child was taken to hospital with life-threatening head injuries after colliding with a small motorcycle in a field off Old Brickyard Lane in Napton.

“If you have dashcam or phone footage of this please contact us quoting incident 275 of May 25.”

Warwickshire Police confirmed it had launched an investigation and appealed for any witnesses to contact police on 101.

Those with information can also contact the Crimestoppers foundation anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The Napton show describes itself as “a traditional village show, in the heart of rural Warwickshire” and promises “an enjoyable day out”.

It offers a range of events including equestrian events, a classic car exhibition and live music.
