“We are currently exploring a number of lines of inquiry as we try to build a picture of what happened.

“We would like to ask anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area on the night of Friday (Aug. 12) and until approximately 1.15am this morning to come forward.

Likewise, if anyone has any concerns or has information that could help, we encourage them to approach and speak to one of our agents.

“There will be more police presence in the area and I want to reassure the community that we are conducting a thorough investigation.

“Our thoughts are very much with the woman’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
