Residents of Talalua are about to receive a new waste collection service on the streets of the city.

Talalua’s new recycling service is scheduled to begin in July.

The new city’s kerbside collection service means that residents of Dannevirke, Pahīatua, Eketāhuna, and Woodville will collect recycled directly from their homes along with glass boxes.

Residents are advised on how to place new trash cans, collection dates, and the types of materials that can be recycled.

Residents have been warned about the risks of recycling pollutants, and residents are told that too many wrong items can prevent the trash can from being collected.

Dannevirke was divided into two zones, the north was collected on Monday and the south was collected on Tuesday.

Pahīatua’s collection date is Wednesday, and Woodville and Eketāhuna will serve on Thursday. All bottles will be collected at 7:30 am.

The new service will start in the week of July 4th. For more information, please visit www.tararuadc.govt.nz/recycling.
