Wexford store unveils as € 5.6 million Lotto jackpot ticket outlet

A local shop in the town of Enniscorthy in Co Wexford has been unveiled as the venue for the latest Lotto jackpot winning ticket worth € 5,612,385.

The Day Today store in Slaney Place, Enniscorthy, sold the winner Normal Play Pick ticket last Wednesday on the day of the draw.

The store is owned and operated by two Tipperary friends, Frank Jordan and Kieran Walsh.

Mr Jordan said he was delighted to hear the news about one of their clients’ life-changing wins.

I added that the pandemic has affected their business and it is a welcome boost.

“People will not believe this story, but on the day of the draw, our local National Lottery representative visited the store and I jokingly told him to send a winning ticket to my side,” he said.

“Let’s see, only a few hours later one of our clients achieved a truly life-changing victory and honestly, we could not be more excited for them.

“The store has a very loyal base of local customers who have been supporting us since 2013. To be honest, the pandemic hit our business really hard, and it was sometimes hard to keep up.

He added: “All that hard work and perseverance of everyone in the store has really paid off today and this win is a nice reward for the winner and the community for all their support for the store over the years.”

The National Lottery has also confirmed that the winner of Wednesday’s Lotto jackpot worth more than € 5.6 million has made contact and arrangements are now being made for the payment of the prize.

The Wexford player is the sixth Lotto jackpot winner of 2022 after victories by players in Mayo, Meath, Dublin and Kilkenny. The Wexford winner is also the 21st National Lottery millionaire of 2022.
