What happened to Frank?
Frank Fritz of History Channel’s American Pickers revealed on social media in 2013 that he was battling Crohn’s disease.
Frank had taken a break during seasons 8 and 9 and took to Facebook to explain his absence, writing, “Many of you have been wondering about my health and my weight loss.
“I Have a Disease Called Crohn’s” [disease], which is sometimes difficult to deal with. I started to lose weight and walked with it!
Add: “I’ve been exercising and eating well… Thanks for all your kind words of concern! I couldn’t do what I’m doing without all of you!”
What did Frank say about his weight loss?
The Sun exclusively reported Frank’s weight loss of 65 pounds.
During the interview, Frank debuted a shockingly skinny appearance compared to his heavier figure on the show.
Since Frank’s stint on the hit show, he’s lost 65 pounds, which he attributes to a healthier lifestyle while battling Crohn’s disease.
Frank told The Sun: “The weight loss is that I watch what I eat so I can control my illness as best I can. I just eat healthy.
“After a while I started to watch what I was doing and started walking a little more. I am also quite busy here tending the grass and getting rid of the weeds.”
Frank continued that he is sober today, adding: “Not drinking helps with weight loss because when you drink, you eat. I’m not dieting.
“I also drank a little, but that didn’t work either. I haven’t had a drink in almost nine or ten months.
“It would have been a year, but I had a misstep. It might have been for four hours, but it was enough.”
Frank also blamed his heavy drinking on his nasty split from old friend turned ex-fiance Dianne Bankson.
Frank said of their breakup, “I tried to drink her away.”
In photos obtained exclusively by The Sun, Frank posed near his $155,000 Iowa Farmwhere he lived for 11 years.
This is the first time Frank has been seen in over a year smiling while showing off his impressive weight loss.
Frank is in his element in another series of photos as he poses with his extensive motorcycle collection in his bike shed and with his favorite picks.
“I was inducted into the Sturgis Hall of Fame just two years ago.”
Frank has stayed off social media despite posting regular updates on his verified Facebook page.
He explained: “It’s all fake, all that stuff on Facebook is fake. I don’t have Facebook, no idea what’s going on with that.
“I’ve never posted anything there, so everything it says there is a fucking lie. I have no idea who posts those things, I don’t even have a computer.”
