SINCE Alex Trabek’s tragic passing, Jeopardy! you have seen a variety of host hosts fill up.
After one season of rotating hosts, the program landed on Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik to host season 38, but will soon decide on a permanent replacement.
When will the new Jeopardy! host decided?
After Trabek’s departure, Jeopardy! executive producer Mike Richards has been named as the new host, but within days of accepting the post, he stepped down in response to social media.
The duties were then placed on Jennings and Bialik, but these are not the permanent substitutes for the deceased star.
Michael Davies, danger! executive producer, said behind the scenes at the 2022 Daytime Emmys that the program will appoint a new host “very, very soon”.
“The scandal was, as we put it at ‘Jeopardy!’ call, ‘the awkward months,’ “Davies told Variety.
“But it showed the strength of our audience and how passionately our fans care about the program, which is just as important.
“What Happened Over the Season – Matt Amodio, and Amy Schneider and Mattea [Roach] and Ryan [Long] – really made us just remember how amazing the game is. The stars of our show and Mayim [Bialik] and Ken [Jennings] did an incredible job as a host. ”
Davies added: “We hope to have a host announcement soon. But with all our plans for ‘Jeopardy!’ – what’s more ‘Jeopardy!’ is, no less, more versions – we are going to need several hosts to represent the whole audience, to represent the whole country, to take this franchise forward. ”
At the moment, it is unclear when the program will make the announcement or who they might be considering for the role.
When did Alex Trebek die?
Alex Trebek was known as a Canadian-American host and television personality.
He was especially known for being Jeopardy! offered, a position he held for 37 seasons.
Tragically, he passed away on November 8, 2020 at the age of 80.
He died after battling pancreatic cancer and was survived by his wife, Jean, and his children.
