More than 20 years later, Joy still holds her position on The View, which is why fans had no choice but to notice her absence from the long-running talk series.

Where is Joy on The View today?
Ever since The view first premiered in August 1997, Joy Behar was introduced as one of the regular panelists.

During The 25th season of The View on the air, the audience tuned in to the program to see Need express her views on the latest hot button topics.
After the show’s appearance in the Bahamas, fans quickly noticed that two of the four regular co-hosts were absent from the broadcast.
On July 12, 2022, guest co-hosts Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin were found taking over the panel seats vacated by Behar and fellow regulars Sara Haines†
On Twitter, one fan wrote: “Where are Sara Haines and Joy Behar? Please don’t tell me #Joy has retired!”
A second fan tweeted: “Where is @JoyVBehar? I hate it when she’s not there. I hope she’s okay.”
“I’m enjoying the view without Joy sigh so much that I never realized how calm and coherent #TheView could be,” said another.
At the beginning of the broadcast, fellow panelist Whoopi Goldberg addressed Behar’s absence.
The Color Purple actress shared with the audience: “Welcome to The View.”
“We’re back home because we were away for a while. We were in the Bahamas.”
Whoopi added: “We have to tell you that Sara is out with Covid.”

“Joy doesn’t have Covid, but she’s not here today. She’s taking a day off.”
although Whoopi stated the vacancy of her longtime co-star of the series, the team at The View has not revealed how soon Behar would be back.
On July 13, 2022, Joy was still absent from the popular talk show.
One user wrote that day: “So Joy…where ARE you? We miss you on @TheView Hoping you are well.”
Joy has not made a public comment as to why she has been absent for two days this week.
Did Joy Behar retire?
In early July 2022, reports circulated from a number of different outlets claiming: Joy Behar was planning to leave The View for her birthday in October and retiring.
However, on Tuesday, July 5, a representative of Joy told the New York Post that the messages were “fake news”.
Her representative also confirmed that the star’s contract in the program does not expire until 2025.

In April 2020, the TV anchor said, “I have a three-year contract.”
“But that doesn’t mean I can’t leave if I want to, because they can’t really hurt me right now.”
The broadcaster went on to say: “I can’t see myself staying any longer [time]† That is it! I could be wrong.
“But the chances of that happening… You know, time moves on. I’m not a child.’
