THE HIGH RESOLUTION image quality from NASA’s James Webb telescope allows it to capture deeper parts of what lies beyond the solar system.
After decades of planning and months of delays, James Webb telescope was successfully launched by NASA On christmas day – and arrived in final orbit on January 24, 2022.
Where is the James Webb Space Telescope?
Before arriving at his final destination, James Webb moved through space at a dazzling speed before remaining “parked” about a million miles from Earth.
This last position is where the JWST will conduct all its space science.
It is at the second Sun-Earth Lagrange point, an area where objects can largely remain standing.
“This is really a fantastic achievement. I’m especially excited because the scientific life of the mission is now probably longer than originally planned,” said UCL Professor Richard Ellis, according to UCL. Research and Innovation in the UK†
He was the only European-based member of the panel that proposed JWST in 1996.
“If you look at the huge impact of Hubble over many years, this bodes well for JWST.
“The astronomical community can’t wait to see the first dramatic images of the early Universe, hopefully later this year.”
What stage is the James Webb telescope at?
The James Webb Space Telescope was launched on December 25, 2021.
In the first two and a half days, the telescope was in the early deployment phase.

Given James Webb’s sheer size, the gilded mirrors that do the main work are actually formed from 18 hexagonal parts that are cleverly unwrapped and clicked together like a perfect puzzle.
But before all that could happen, the sunshade had to be mounted.
This started from day three.
According to NASA Webb Telescope on Twitter, it marked the beginning of a “great phase” and when it “started blooming like a flower.”
There are five layers that help protect the sensitive optical sealant from the sun.
That phase ended on day nine.

On July 11, 2022, NASA revealed that the telescope has captured its first color images.
The organization had planned to unveil the photos on Tuesday, July 12, but decided to move the display case a day earlier.
The event on Monday, July 11, will reveal one of the first photos from JWT’s deep space exploration, and the remaining photos will be released the following Tuesday.

When will the James Webb telescope come back?
The JWST will eventually run out of fuel.
Once the 5- to 10-year mission is complete, the JWST will likely fall out of orbit and become space junk.
The JWST is a significant distance from Earth and there are currently no plans to retrieve it or refuel it.
In other news, NASA has: beat Russia after a rocket fired at one of its own satellites, it forced the space station to perform an emergency dodge.
Scientists have discovered how fast some sort of dinosaur could run — and it would have given Usain Bolt a run for his money.
And Google has confirmed that some of its smartphones can’t call emergency services because of a software error†
