At the Tesco gas station in Cambridgeshire, the line of drivers has been lengthened after gasoline prices have fallen to 168.9p, well below the national average.
According to RAC data, the average lead-free price is currently 191p per liter.
But which supermarket offers the cheapest petrol prices today?
Using gasoline prices, a website recommended by money-saving expert Martin Lewis, we compared prices across the UK and found the place offering the cheapest deals.

All of these prices are correct at the time of writing.
Tesco
If you live in London, you can benefit from the cheapest petrol prices we found when writing from Tesco at Waltham Monastery 185.9.
Further north The price in West Midlands, Tesco was 186.9p per liter in Staffordshire.
Going north, Tesco’s petrol prices rose further, with the cheapest 188.9p and the highest 193.9p.
Asda
When shopping at Asda, Birmingham, Kanock, and Tamworth had the lowest gasoline prices of 185.7p per liter.
Meanwhile, in Manchester, Durham and Croydon, prices have risen to 189.9p per liter.
For diesel, the cheapest price was 195.7p, up to 199.9p.
Sainsbury
Midlands is back in the top 11 and Wolverhampton’s petrol price was 185.9p in Sainsbury’s.
Further north, Newcastle prices rose to 188.9p and to 194.9p in Biddulph near Stoke-on-Trent.
Morrisons
Like Asda and Sainsburys, Midlands is Birmingham’s Morrisons Small Heath, which again tops the list of cheap petrol at a price of 186.7p per liter.
Oldham, Bolton and St Helens are priced at 187.7p and have also risen in areas near London such as Queensbury and Borehamwood.
A low of 187.7p was also seen in Cornwall, rising to 191.9p in Newquay.
