Originally, I saw a very regular smartphone release schedule from OnePlus. There was a standard flagship phone earlier this year and a “T” upgrade later this year. However, at this point, the situation is much more confusing. With the introduction of new Pro phones every year since the introduction of the OnePlus 7 Pro in 2023 in 2019, you can definitely expect only the OnePlus 11 Pro.

Despite the company’s more confusing portfolio than ever before, the OnePlus 11 Pro could be one of the brand’s best phones. But what should we expect and what do we want to see? Here’s what we know and the OnePlus 11 Pro wishlist.

Do you have a OnePlus 11 Pro?

As pointed out earlier, the OnePlus portfolio Appearance and I’m confused at this point. The T-line skipped the 9-series, but could return to 10 (rumors!), The R and RT-series are regional, and the vanilla model will be available in 2022 with the OnePlus 10 Pro. There wasn’t even.

Based on what the company has done before, it’s reasonable to expect the OnePlus 11 Pro to be available within the first three months of 2023. However, the company still seems to have a solid foothold after the merger with Oppo. Therefore, OnePlus has the potential to completely redefine its strategy in 2023. Anyone can guess what the company will do if that happens.

So far, there is no confirmation anyway. The company’s flagship product in 2023 is assumed to be the OnePlus 11 Pro until heard elsewhere.

When is the release date for OnePlus 11 Pro?

Eric Zeman / Android Authority

  • OnePlus 8 and 8Pro — April 14, 2020
  • OnePlus 9, 9 Pro, and 9R — March 23, 2021
  • OnePlus 10 Pro (China) — January 11, 2022
  • OnePlus 10 Pro (Global) — March 31, 2022

Historically, OnePlus launched its flagship mobile phone in March or April each year. However, in 2022, the company launched the OnePlus 10 Pro quite early in January. This release was only for the Chinese version of the mobile phone, but it was functionally the same as the one released for the global market in March 2022.

The company has the potential to do the same in 2023. In other words, the China-only OnePlus 11 Pro is expected to be released in January 2023 and then globally in March or April.

What features and specifications does OnePlus 11 Pro have?

OnePlus 9 Review Camera Hasselblad

Robert Triggs / Android Authority

Enterprises typically expect to maintain the capabilities of the current generation and extend them for the next generation. However, with the OnePlus 10 Pro, the OnePlus actually downgraded some aspects of the phone when compared to the OnePlus 9 Pro. Therefore, all bets are invalid. The company can do almost anything with OnePlus 11 Pro.

design

Up to the OnePlus 8 series, the company had a very careful design aesthetic. Things have changed a bit with the OnePlus 9 series, and again with the OnePlus 10 Pro. The 11 Pro was able to see the company change its design philosophy once again. Or you may continue to design the 10 series. Hopefully there will be some leaked renderings in the coming months.

One of the things that doesn’t go anywhere is the Hasselblad partnership, which probably has the Hasselblad logo on the back of the phone. OnePlus focuses on this three-year partnership that began in the OnePlus 9 series in 2021. This at least means Hasselblad’s influence on the OnePlus 11 Pro.

The OnePlus 11 Pro almost certainly has some features, but much more in the air.

Another design element that is probably stuck is the alert slider. Rumor has it that OnePlus could discontinue this on all devices except Pro-level models. If this turns out to be true, the OnePlus 11 Pro is safe and will continue to use this very popular feature.

Finally, OnePlus Pro-level devices always have a large, curved display. It’s reasonable to assume that the 11 Pro will continue this trend.

Specifications and features

To guess what comes with the 11 Pro, you can see what OnePlus cares most about the 10 Pro. There’s at least a triple-lens camera system on the back of the 11 Pro, which can be wide, ultra-wide, or telephoto. lens. You can expect incredibly fast charging speeds — cables can be over 100W (although this can also be limited in the US). It’s also reasonable to assume that you’ll see one of the industry’s highest quality displays, wireless charging, and the latest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

What should I expect? OnePlus has never pushed the boundaries in that regard, so you shouldn’t spend money on industry-defining camera hardware. Instead, you should expect great hardware alongside the vast majority of premium phones on the market. Also, OnePlus hasn’t focused on IP ratings for the past year, so you shouldn’t expect IP ratings for unlocked models. Based on the recent OnePlus flagship, you can’t expect a microSD card slot, more than 256 GB of internal storage, or even a headphone jack.

What is the price of the OnePlus 11 Pro?

  • OnePlus 8 Pro — $ 899
  • OnePlus 9 Pro — $ 969
  • OnePlus 10 Pro — $ 899

The price of the OnePlus 11 Pro depends heavily on what the company wants to do with its flagship product. If you want to compete entirely with Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and iPhone 13 Pro Max in the ultra premium market, you can raise the price to over $ 1,000. To continue to compete with the Google Pixel 6 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, etc. in the premium segment, you need to maintain the same price as the 10 Pro ($ 899 at launch).

Our money is in OnePlus, which sticks to the price range below $ 900. I don’t see the company trying to compete with phones over $ 1,000. So it’s safe to expect the price of the OnePlus 11 Pro to be very similar to or even lower than the price of the OnePlus 10 Pro.

OnePlus 11 Pro: What We Want to See

We’ve already talked about what you can (and can’t) expect from the OnePlus 11 Pro, but here’s what you really want to see. There’s no evidence that OnePlus could offer these, but I hope it does.

Better camera hardware

One of the biggest disappointments with the OnePlus 10 Pro was that the company actually downgraded the camera hardware compared to the OnePlus 9 Pro. Specifically, the quality of ultra-wide lenses has dropped significantly.

We hope the OnePlus 11 Pro camera hardware is significantly better than the 10 Pro. We also hope that OnePlus will discontinue the 10 Pro “ultra-ultra-wide” gimmick. The low quality 150 degree fisheye lens is no substitute for the usual all-purpose high quality sensor that users expect.

All variants at once

In the United States, buyers were able to get the OnePlus 10 Pro in April 2022. The phone was provided in one configuration: 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. In some other countries there was a 12 / 256GB model, but the US didn’t see it.

However, in June OnePlus brought the 12 / 256GB model to the United States. Avid US OnePlus fans may have already adopted the 8 / 128GB model because they had no other choice. Therefore, the launch of the 12 / 256GB model may have been a slap for some buyers.

We hope that in 2023, OnePlus 11 Pro will be available in all configurations and configurations at the same time in all regions of OnePlus to avoid buyers’ regrets.

Official IP rating

Ryan Haynes / Android Authority

However, the OnePlus 10 Pro only had IP ratings in certain situations. For example, there was one in the T-Mobile variant, but not in the unlocked model. We hope that OnePlus 11 Pro will not ignore this basic aspect of premium flagship smartphones. All Premium OnePlus models must have an IP68 rating.

Better, faster, more stable updates

About Oxygen OS12 Beta Phone Page

C. Scott Brown / Android Authority

At that time, OnePlus was one of the best companies when it came to software updates. But lately, the company has become known for its slow, sporadic, and sometimes completely unstable cell phone updates.

OnePlus promised that the merger with Oppo would solve these problems, but the OnePlus 10 Pro got very hot with Oxygen OS 12. You can expect OnePlus11Pro to win the software support commitment that OnePlus fans expect and deserve. Trying to compete with things like Samsung and Google.
