Woman (30s) seriously injured in road traffic accident in Co Kerry

A woman was seriously injured after a road traffic collision last night in Co Kerry.

the driver and sole occupant of the car in question, a woman in her 30s, was taken to Kerry University Hospital with serious injuries.

Gardaí is currently at the scene of the incident that took place around 9pm on Saturday at Dooneen, Castleisland, Co Kerry.

The scene is technically being investigated by forensic collision investigators.

Consequently, the Castleisland detour at the N21 was closed and there are local diversions through the Castleisland town.

Gardaí calls on any witnesses to this clash to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and who traveled between 20:30 and 21:10 in the Dooneen area, are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
