Woman and baby held at knife point in London home

A man in a Tesco coat broke into the home of a “terrified” mother and held a knife to her head as the woman held her baby in her arms.

A shocking video released by the Metropolitan Police shows the man in supermarket clothes and an accomplice knocking on the door in Wandsworth, southwest London.

When she answered, holding her one-year-old son in her arms, the couple forced their way inside.

The woman, 22, and her child were then marched into the kitchen with a knife by the man in Tesco clothing.

The video then shows him violently grabbing her shoulder and pushing his face between her and her son as she stands next to a kitchen counter and holds her baby.

He can be seen holding the large chef’s knife to the woman’s face, making her cringe.

In the end, the couple fled the house empty-handed.

Neither the mother nor the baby were injured in the incident, police said.

Despite wearing the supermarket’s clothes, a police source told The Telegraph that the knife man was not posing as a delivery boy.
