Xiaomi is determined to deliver another one Redmi Note lineup that requires a day of research to even understand it. The company is adding a new phone called Redmi Note 12 Pro but it is limited to 4G speeds and generally has little to do with the existing Redmi Note 12 Pros.
The new Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G debuted in Indonesia with a Snapdragon 732G chipset, 108MP main camera and a camera island reminiscent of the Redmi Note 11 series.
Maxing out LTE speeds, the Qualcomm chipset is almost three years old at this point, but it’s still quite capable with two large CPU cores running at 2.3GHz. It was previously featured in the Redmi Note 10 Proand back in March 2021.
The 5,000 mAh battery with 67 W is also a well-known feature of the Redmi Note series, spanning three generations. The same goes for the 120Hz screen with a single hole in the center which is likely to be a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel. Other specs include 4K video recording, stereo speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack, as well as support for Dolby Vision Atmos.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G will go on sale in Indonesia in May. We’ll be watching to see if this exact smartphone becomes official in other markets or regions.
