FANTA has made a huge change to one of its favorite soft drinks – and that’s bad news for shoppers.
Drinks giant Coca-Cola has reduced the amount of orange juice in Fanta Orange, but raised the price by 15 pence.
Previously, a 500ml bottle of Fanta Orange contained 35ml orange juice from concentrate and cost £1.45.
But now a bottle of the same size contains just 20ml of orange juice, while the price has risen to £1.60, according to the Mail Online.
It means customers are getting 43% orange juice compared to a year ago.
The Sun has reached out to Coca-Cola for comment and we’ll update this story as soon as we hear back.
But Coca-Cola isn’t the only company making changes to popular products.
Cadbury made its sharing bags Dairy Milk Chocolate Buttons smaller, but kept the price the same.
Previously the chocolates weighed 240g and cost £2 Asda And tesco.
But a new size is only 184.4g and will still cost you the same amount in the supermarkets.
The Sun previously revealed that the confectionery company has also reduced the size of its chocolate Easter eggs.
The move is known as “shrink inflation”that is when a product gets smaller but the price doesn’t change.
The tactic is used by companies to keep prices from going up, and often customers don’t realize they’re getting less.
Bags of the popular supermarket item Ben’s original rice have shrunk from 250g to 220g in the past months.
Mars, which produces the rice, said it had downsized the product because of “significant cost increases”.
Other products, including beer have shrunk in size in recent months without also a price change.
Meanwhile, Coca-Cola has changed the recipe of its original and sugar-free Sprite lemon-lime drinks, along with new packaging.
Small lovers were bitterly disappointed to learn that the iconic fizzy drink is being discontinued after 50 years.
