Alison Hammond's younger boyfriend is 'urged to dump her' by his mother.
The This morning star, 49, is currently dating masseuse David Putman, 26, born and raised in Russia.
The pair first met when Alison became a client last year their friendship later turned romantic.
The married couple recently confirmed their relationshipwith Alison also revealing he had met her son Aiden, 19.
However, things don't seem to be going smoothly for the couple after it was reported that David's mother Olga is not supporting them.
Instead, she would call her son every day and tell him to find a “nice Russian girl.”
“She thinks Alison is way too old for David and doesn't like all the attention her TV fame has brought to her son,” says a source.
'She feels uncomfortable that her son is with someone who has so much more financial power than him.
“Olga's traditional values don't sit well with their relationship,” she added during their conversation The sun.
The source then claimed that Olga, 63, “told him in no uncertain terms to end it.”
They also explained that after raising her children in the Orthodox Church, this “kind of relationship does not fit her beliefs.”
Olga, who lives in Sochi, would also call her son every day to tell her how “unhappy” she is, but David is “happy with his relationship, so anything his mother says won't affect him.”
David's father is reportedly a retired welder and panel beater who moved to Russia in the late 1990s after marrying Russian architect Olga Kovalenko following a divorce from his first wife.
David also has two brothers, twins Apollo and Sviatoslov, who are three years older than him and were born in England.
He currently lives with his uncle Nigel Putman, 71, in Slough, Berks.
Alison, who is believed to be worth around £4million, also presents The Great British Bake Off and For the Love of Dogs.
Friends of the TV star previously said she has 'never been happier' after Alison first shared pictures of herself and David on social media last month.
She previously dated gardener Ben Hawkins for two years before they split in 2023.
