Amy GrantThe bike accident left her unconscious for nearly 10 minutes and suffered a concussion, but her team says her recovery is going well.

Grant was hospitalized on July 27 after she fell while on a bike ride with friends in Nashville.

“She’s making progress every day,” a Grant representative told me Billboard on Sunday. “As Vince announced at his concerts at the Ryman, she has a concussion and has needed a lot of downtime and rest to recover. When she hit the pothole, she was thrown off her bike and hit her head hard, turning her over for about 10. knocked out [minutes] before being transported to hospital by ambulance. Every day she gets stronger and more alert/energetic.”

Vince Gillthe singer’s husband, spoke Saturday night about Grant’s accident during his four-night stay at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

Gill welcomed the couple’s daughter, Corinna, onstage to sing “When My Amy Prays” for Grant; Corinna changed the lyrics of the chorus to “when my mother prays.”

“We’re going to do this song I wrote for my wife, Amy,” Gill can be heard telling the audience in a video of the show shared on Grant’s Facebook page. “We didn’t do it much, but because of her accident and everything she’s been through, we thought about her a lot. I thought how sweet it would be if her youngest would sing the song I wrote for her.”
