Archbishop of Canterbury intervenes in feud between Prince Harry and King Charles | Royal | News

The Archbishop of Canterbury referred to the as 'human beings' and urged people not to judge them as tensions with the Sussexes continue.

Justin Welby made his plea during an interview with ITV's Good Morning Britain (GMB), where he said: “We shouldn't judge them, they are human beings. They shouldn't be judged. They should be prayed for and they should be supported.”

His comments came against a backdrop of unease Prince Harry returned to Britain this week, celebrating the 10th anniversary of his charity Invictus Games. None of his family came, but instead senior royals attended the first Buckingham Palace garden party of the season just two miles away.

Earlier this week, Harry's spokesman confirmed that the king would be too busy with scheduled engagements to meet his son during his visit to Britain.

Instead, the Duke of Sussex was supported by members of Princess Diana's family, including his uncle Earl Spencer and aunt Lady Jane Fellowes.

Speaking to GMB, the Archbishop refused to confirm whether members of the royal family had discussed a reconciliation with him.
