The star is currently being impersonated by an Instagram account pretending to be her that is racking up thousands of followers.

Jessica has admitted to avoiding social media despite being active celebrity status, but a new account is following thousands of her fans into believing she is her.

The account has shared clips from the Netflix show and used the word “official” in the account's handle.

It also used some of Martha's famous quotes in the biography of the account.

Despite the account not actually belonging to actress Jessica, her fans have flocked to the comments sections to praise the star, believing she is solely responsible for running the account.

One fan wrote to her: “You played this deeply flawed character with so much humanity and compassion.

“Truly a masterpiece of acting. You must be so proud! Congratulations. What an achievement!”

As another said: “Hey, I just wanted to let you know that you did an ABSOLUTELY GREAT job in Baby Reindeer. Truly outstanding performance.”

However, they actually shared their words of support with a complete stranger who isn't Jessica.

It comes as the real Martha, Fiona Harvey, is set to speak out in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

'It's giving me nightmares,' say Baby Reindeer fans who say they can't sleep and 'switch off after episode 4'

She hopes to “set the record straight” in a tell-all interview with Piers tonight.

Internet sleuths quickly tracked down Fiona Harvey and identified her as the… inspiration behind the obsessive stalker after the miniseries launched last month.

In a Instagram post last night, Morgan said: “The real Martha from Baby Reindeer breaks cover and gives me her first TV interview on the big hit Netflix show.

“Fiona Harvey wants to have her say and 'set the record straight.'

Real life Fiona Harvey

Fiona58, from Fyvie, Aberdeenshire, says she met Gadd years ago when he was a bartender at The Hawley Arms in London's Camden.

She admits to befriending him and claims she gifted him a pair of 'tartan M&S trousers' to congratulate him on one of his comedy shows.

But she denies stalking him.

“I am very attractive. He is not Brad Pitt,” she told The Scottish Sun.

“I have a claim against Netflix because this is being billed as part of a true story.

“There's a fat actress I should be.

“I am a very competent lawyer. I should do it myself. I'm very good.

“I have a photographic memory and can remember huge files. I was the best at everything at my school.”

As for how she discovered the show, she says she first became aware of it when Gadd took it to Edinburgh Edge Festival as a one-man show.

She said: 'He created a character called Martha and he portrayed me exactly.

“This is a program for people in their twenties. The people with no lives, no jobs, whatever. I don't want to be a celebrity.”

“Is she a psycho stalker? Find out tomorrow on @piersmorganuncensored.”

The trailer text for the interview reads: “The 'real Martha' of Baby Reindeer tomorrow Piers Morgan Uncensored.

“Sent from my iPhone.”

In Baby Reindeer, the Martha character often signs off her emails as if they were sent from an iPhone – despite being from her laptop – and are misspelled in various ways.
