Kate Chastain didn’t hold back when asked about her opinion of the most “overrated” housewife and immediately mentioned Vicki Gunvalson.
The self-proclaimed queen of ‘bragging’ was an original cast member of the Real Housewives of Orange County – the first in the franchise – when it hit our screens in 2006, but fell out before series 15.
She recently appeared on the second season of Ultimate Girls Trip alongside best friend Tamra Judge and was confirmed to be in the cast for the spinoff’s fourth appearance.
Despite being on our screens for nearly two decades, Kate confessed that she’s not a fan of the OG.
During a performance on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcastshe was asked to name the most “overrated” cast member.
Wasting no time, the icon below deck replied, “Vicki Gunvalson, I don’t get it. Sorry.
“I just feel like she’s always angry and always yelling.”
Despite the savage comments, the mom-to-be explained that she was excited to hopefully see Vicki redeem herself in the upcoming Ultimate Girls Trip series after struggling with her debut.
“I am happy for her that she is now going to Marrakesh for a rematch,” the former chief flight attendant continued. “Because she was vulnerable in Bluestone Manor at the time.
“Hopefully after this new Girls Trip I’ll change my mind, but as it stands now, Vicki needs to change her vibe.”
When asked if she was a fan of Vicki from the first few seasons of RHOC, she added, “Not really… Whoop it up?” It’s not smart… it’s not something I’d put my hat on.”

Season four of Girls Trip is currently filming and Vicki will also appear in RHOC’s upcoming series – including a cast trip to Mexico with Tamra, Heather Dubrow, Shannon Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson and newcomer Taylor Armstrong.
However, she does not return to the fold as a full-time housewife or in the capacity of “friend of.”
discussing the news, she confessed that she was jealous of Tamra was given a cOveted Orange instead.
“I was jealous, angry,” she told Us Weekly. “I thought the phone was going to ring [me]. I’m like, “Hi, Andy [Cohen]you don’t call me!”
“She really wanted it more than I did. She’s good TV,” she added, before exposing her own scenes. ‘It was amazing. I loved it. Loved my girls.
“I love my Tamra [and] Shannon and we are good together.’
