Bungie seems to be working on a Destiny game for Android and iOS

Bungie apparently wants to grab a piece of the lucrative mobile game market pie with a Destiny game for Android and iOS. This has not been officially confirmed, but several related clues point to the same conclusion.

Bungie is teaming up with NetEase Games for the project. CEO Pete Parsons said NetEase “has a significant amount of experience in mobile devices that we do not have”. This comes after reports that Bungie is looking at building its own mobile engine.

Job postings reveal that the company is engaged in an “unannounced FPS mobile game”. It turns out to be a new game rather than a mobile port of lot 2, the company’s current flagship. And some insiders claim it’s been in development for 2 years.

Some of you may not have heard of NetEase, but you’ve probably heard of its games – it’s evolved together Devil: Immortal with Blizzard, a game that has been in the news regularly recently (usually not with a positive twist).

By the way, Bungie is apparently also expanding the Destiny franchise in TV and film. Let’s just hope that the end result of those efforts is better than the new Halo series. 343 Industries is admittedly the one to blame for the one who was handed the reins of the franchise.

Bungie recently languished under Microsoft’s ownership, but earlier this year it was announced that Sony Interactive Entertainment had acquired the studio for a cool $ 3.6 billion.
