The first two series, released in June 2021 and February 2023, were immediate successes with the strong personalities of Kaleb Cooper and Clarkson.

The third series features challenges on the farm with plans to close a restaurant due to council red tape and the introduction of pigs to increase income.

Jeremy explains that he cannot afford to keep all his cows after West Oxfordshire District Council told him he must close his newly opened restaurant.

He says the local government has “gone completely crazy” as an enforcement notice tells him to immediately close the restaurant and restore the land to its original state.

The notice then lists a number of items he is not allowed to keep in the area, including plant pots, gravel, stone and wood chips and parking.

'I'm really sad today because for the past year I've opened the windows, opened the curtains in the morning and there are the cows. And I love that,” Jeremy says during the first episode.

'Making cow noises. It brightens my heart every morning to see them.”

The former Top Gear and Grand Tour presenter then worries about the calves as he affectionately asks if they can sleep tonight.

But Kaleb, 25, tells Jeremy it's he who won't sleep as they'll be 'calling all night'.

Charlie Ireland, the land agent at the farm, is clearly concerned about Pepper's future and warns Jeremy when he asks what will happen to her.

“I wouldn't ask too many questions about Pepper,” he says. “Don't ask questions you don't want to know the answers to.”

There's an awkward moment of silence as Jeremy stares and blinks before turning and letting out a big audible sigh and muttering, “Oh Christ.”
