Clarkson's Farm season three has just been released Amazon Prime, and fans left distraught after seeing a key moment.

Top gear star Jeremy ClarksonThe series' show is known for mixing heartbreak with joy, and the latest installment is no different as fans were left laughing and crying after watching the first four episodes.

One particular scene that brought many viewers to tears took place in the fourth episode, when the pigs purchased by Jeremy, 64, at the beginning of the season began giving birth to piglets.

In the episode, one pig gave birth to several pigs, but the heartwarming moment turned heartbreaking when she accidentally killed some of them by sitting on them and suffocating them.

As you can imagine, this broke viewers' hearts when the lifeless bodies of the piglets were shown on camera.

In the same episode, another pregnant pig, which was mentioned by Baroness Jeremy's partner Lisa Hogan, 50was induced early and gave birth to premature piglets that did not survive – despite Lisa and Jeremy's best efforts to keep them alive and feed them from a bottle.

Baroness was subsequently put down by the vet because she had difficulty eating or drinking and quickly became unwell, with a suspected incurable liver problem or cancer.

Fans flocked to social media to share their grief, calling the show a difficult watch. “Episode 4 of Clarkson's Farm is not an easy watch #ClarksonsFarm,” said @MidgardianMatt.

@MASZYNOZNAWSTWO commented: 'The fourth episode of Clarkson's Farm was fucking miserable, I felt sorry for them and their loss all the time.'

Another fan, @beckywi91126152, commented, “Clarkson's farm is back up and running and omg I'm crying because of the piggies 🐖 and the baby piglets #ClarksonsFarm.”

@Jamiec1233 added: 'Very emotional and heartbreaking to see those poor piglets sadly die, just like Baroness the mother pig before the credits went up. It's like saying a very emotional farewell to a dying family member in a hospital.'

Clarkson talked about it before how heartbroken he was after his pigs died in 'alarming numbers', by saying, 'You don't say, 'Let's buy some pigs and hope they die.' I've always loved pigs.'

“My mother always bought me toy pigs at Christmas and birthdays,” he continued, recalling his “love” for pigs.

“I thought it would be nice to have them, but then they died in alarming numbers.”

'It was very heartbreaking, I had never seen Lisa before [cry]not once, until all that started.

'It was just terrible. I mean, they still die, but we're getting more used to it now, we're a little more robust.”

He added: “We're a little bit stronger now to deal with it. But it was a very heartbreaking time.”

The four-part series was filled with tragic moments, and right from the jump Jeremy was forced to kill an animal he promised his five-year-old to protect.

The cow named Pepper, who played a key role in previous series, was sent to the slaughterhouse in the show's opening moments.

“Excuse me, I wanted to watch Clarkson's Farm for the relaxing bellowing and the wheat blowing in the wind. I didn't want to cry about Pepper the cow for the first ten minutes. THIS IS NOT RELAXING AAAAH,” said @YesMissMurphy, whose sadness was echoed by many viewers.

This was revealed in another part of the series Gerald Cooper has cancer. 'Gerald has cancer. Oh shit,” Jeremy said to the camera crew in the series.

Gerald played a key role in seasons one and two and his cancer diagnosis explained his absence from the first four episodes.

The first part of the season only lasted four episodes and the second half of the eight-part series is expected to be just as moving.

Clarkson's Farm season 3 part 2 releases on May 10.
