Coronation Street spoilers: Yasmeen prepares to share her bed with Stu | soaps

There is progress (Picture: ITV)

When Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) first admitted she had feelings for… this carpenter (Bill Fellows) on Coronation Street, she made one thing perfectly clear: baby steps.

Stu, the nice and sweet man that he is, totally loved this.

Going slow for Yasmeen, of course, has to do with her traumatic past with Geoff. She had to take her time and remind herself that she can trust a man again because not all of them will look like her bad ex-husband.

Just as things started to develop between the pair, Stu’s secret was revealed and Yasmeen was thrown back into her traumatic relationship.

While Stu’s investigation into clearing his name continues, he has lived with Yasmeen and respected her wish to just remain friends.

However, now it’s fully confirmed that Stu didn’t kill Charlie – his daughter did – Yasmeen sees things a little differently.

This is due to the arrival of Stu’s granddaughter, Eliza, who has been in care after her mother’s arrest.

When Stu returns home from court this week and reveals that his conviction has been quashed, he also leaves the… bomb that if Eliza goes to live with him, he will have to move because she needs her own room.

Next week, the prospect of not seeing Stu every day is enough for Yasmeen to approach him and admit she still has feelings for him.

She then takes a big step and says that if he shared her bedroom, Eliza could have their spare room.

But what will Stu say?

Is this the happy family Stu has always wanted?
