Two men have been arrested after a confrontation with police in central Auckland.
At least a dozen armed police officers responded to reports of a person with a gun entering a building on Hobson St. this morning.
Police attended the Goodview Apartment Hotel but said there was no danger to the public.
There would be an increased police presence in the area.
In March this year, armed police went to the same building after reports that a weapon had been seen.
