Hon. Fatuhu Muhammad, a member representing the Daura/Sandamu/Maiadua federal constituency, has dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Mohammed, the nephew of President Muhammadu Buhari, had failed to secure his re-election ticket. He only got 30 votes, while his rival, Aminu Jamo, got 117 votes.
In a letter addressed to Sarkin Yara ‘A’ Ward’s APC chairman, Daura, the legislature thanked the APC for giving it the opportunity to serve its people.
The letter, though dated July 13, 2022, was shared on Sunday by his legislative aide, Ahmed Ganga.
“This is to let you know that I have canceled my membership of the All Progressives
Congress (APC) effective immediately from Wednesday the 13th day of
July 2022. Attached is my party membership registration certificate with slip no.
KT/DRA/10/00002,” the letter read.
“While thanking you and the party for the opportunity given to me to serve the interest,
of the people of Daura/Sandamu/ Mai ‘Adua Federal Constituency while working with
the party, please accept my best wishes.”
