Destiny Udogie has been left out of Udinese roster for Tottenham’s expected medical treatment

ottenham target Destiny Udogie was locked out Udinese‘s squad before their defeat to AC Milan.

The 19-year-old will travel to England in the coming days to undergo a medical check-up and complete his move to Spurs, before returning to Udinese on loan for the remainder of the season.

It’s been a busy summer for Tottenham, with Ivan PerisicYves Bissouma, Richarlison, Djed Spence, Clement Lenglet and Fraser Forster have all entered and Udogie is expected to be on that list.

As Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon already offer Antonio Contea with options at the left-back, Udogie is set to rejoin Udinese immediately after signing a five-year deal to complete a £21million move.

Udogie did not play for the Italian side as they lost 4-2 to AC Milan on Saturday in their opening game of the Serie A season, but Udinese manager Andrea Sottil insisted it was not due to impending medical treatment of the teenager at Spurs.

“Udogie has a muscle problem, so he was not called up because he trains separately from the team,” Sottil said after the game.

“We have decided not to let him come here. The club arranges the transfers, so he can stay here [for the rest of the season] or leave.”
