Emily Blunt performed her most 'stressful' stunt in Mary Poppins Returns

Emily Blunt reveals which movie she did her most 'stressful' stunt in, and her answer may surprise some fans.

The Oscar-nominated actress may be surrounded by death-defying stunts in her latest film, The autumn manbut she recently told me that People magazine that her scariest stunt was actually in 2018 Mary Poppins returns.

“That entrance was very stressful for me,” she remembers of the scene.

Blunt, who took on the memorable role of Julie Andrews for Disney's musical sequel, explained that her character's entrance had to “start in the clouds and come all the way to the ground holding an umbrella. And I'm supposed to effortlessly walk into my close-up like it's nothing.”

The Oppenheimer star added: “I did three takes – and then I felt my tolerance go, 'Pfft!' And that was it. I was done.”

However, Blunt said she noticed that director Rob Marshall wanted to go for a fourth take, but she immediately stopped it.

“I did three takes and I could see Rob getting ready to do another one,” the actress recalled. “I was like, 'No, no, no, no, I'm done.' It was over.”
