Diane Sugden (Elisabeth Estensen) returns to the village of Emmerdale next week to say goodbye to Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter).
Last seen a year ago Diane’s surprise return is thanks to Cain (Jeff Hordley), Chas (Lucy Pargeter), and Rodney (Patrick Mower), who decide to bring the coast to the village when Faith’s health takes a different turn, leaving her unable to to travel.
Faith is overjoyed when she arrives in the village to see the transformation, her smile beams as she sees her family enjoying the fun.
When Diane arrives, Faith screams with happiness and Chas and Rodney exchange glances; a job well done.
While Chas spends more time with Al (Michael Wildman), the residents enjoy every minute of it as Faith watches it all – thankfully.
As the day progresses, Cain asks Faith to dance (honestly, we’re already crying as we type this) and then she holds a family photo to her heart, completely satisfied.
When Brenda, Pollard and Diane reunite, they vow to create as many memories as possible with Faith, unaware that their friend is preparing to say her last goodbye. before ending her days alone.
