England have a relatively clean bill of health as their World Cup preparations continue by Italy in the Nations League this evening.

While Gareth Southgate Having faced the forced absences of Kalvin Phillips and Jordan Pickford from Milan, the Three Lions boss has largely available the core of the group who have made deep runs in two consecutive major tournaments.

In place of Phillips, Jude Bellingham will likely play in midfield alongside Declan Rice, while Jordan Henderson is only just coming back from a hamstring injury.

The John Stones suspension could see Tottenham’s Eric Dier partner Harry Maguire in central defence, with a 4-2-3-1 system likely. Dier is finally back in the international fold after his stellar form at Spurs, while Maguire will continue to start despite his struggles at Manchester United.

Southgate have little time to tinker with staff, although Pickford’s injury will see Nick Pope or Aaron Ramsdale get between the posts.

Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling, two pillars of Southgate’s success, will almost certainly start up front alongside Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka.

England predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Pope; Walker, Animal, Maguire; James, Bellingham, Rice, Saka; Foden, Kane, Sterling.

Italy predicted XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Di Lorenzo, Bonucci, Bastoni, Emerson; Barella, Jorginho, Cristante; Seagulls, Building, Raspadori.
