Glenn Hoddle punched away West Ham defender Emerson Palmieri after their 5-0 defeat Chelsea on Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino's side recorded their first consecutive win in the Premier League since December with an impressive win at Stamford Bridge.

Cole Palmer, Conor Gallagher and Noni Madueke scored to put Chelsea three ahead at half-time before Nicolas Jackson scored a double after the break to seal the win.

And Hoddle was furious at the lack of work rate from David Moyes' players.

“They don't look like they're bothered,” Hoddle said of West Ham Premier League Productions.

“They look like a team that only wants to play when they have possession of the ball, 'oh we want the ball', look, that's the easy part of the game.

'As soon as Chelsea get possession there is no closure, no one is shouting to pick up on the penalty spot, those crucial positions, there is no continuity in their play.'

Analyzing Jackson's first goal, which made it 4-0 to Chelsea, Hoddle said at full-time: 'Emerson is still in the dressing room.

'Three minutes into the second half he is not on. He comes out of that tunnel from the locker room and his position is just terrible.

'Ultimately you have to show a little more, especially when you concede all the goals you scored in the first half.'

Meanwhile, former West Ham striker Jermain Defoe criticized the team's defensive performance under Moyes.

“I don't think this performance represents West Ham as a football club,” Defoe said.

'If you're playing for West Ham and you can't really get on the same page as the other clubs in terms of the way you play and that performance doesn't represent West Ham, then first and foremost you have to work hard.

'I said the manager [Moyes] is a defensive coach, you would like to think that if you are a defensive coach you don't concede as many goals.

'Against a Chelsea team it's a good Chelsea team, but if you look at Chelsea over the last 10 years you wouldn't say it's a Chelsea team you can go to and concede five goals.'
