How will train strikes affect YOU? Britain faces another week of rail chaos, with 16 operators canceling services from tomorrow, while the Aslef union stages more strikes in a row over wages

Rail passengers across Britain are facing a week of disruption from strikes that will leave some parts of the country without trains on days of industrial action.

Members of the Aslef train drivers' union from 16 carriers have imposed a six-day ban on overtime from today until Saturday, which could lead to cancellations at short notice.

Workers will also stage three one-day strikes at several operators between tomorrow and Thursday as part of a long-running dispute over wages.

The services that do run on strike days this week are expected to start later and end earlier than normal. There have been no talks between the union and the train operators for over a year, and there has been no consultation with the government for some time.

The Rail Delivery Group, which represents train operators, wrote to Aslef last week suggesting informal talks that could result in more formal negotiations.

But Aslef said its members have not had a pay rise in five years, and the union has accused the government of “giving up” on the dispute.

Here, MailOnline looks at the consequences for operators on strike days this week:
