Huawei held a major event in Dubai yesterday, where it announced the Watch Fit3introduced two new laptops to the international audience and introduced new color options for its wearables.
The launch also saw the introduction of Freebuds 6i, Huawei's new affordable TWS earphones. They have a similar design to their Freebuds 5i predecessors, but come with larger batteries and better noise cancellation.
Huawei implements a new noise cancellation algorithm, Intelligent Dynamic ANC 3.0. It monitors ambient noise and adjusts noise cancellation accordingly. The new earbuds have a noise filter chamber that detects mid- and high-frequency voices and sounds and filters them most effectively.
In terms of specs, Freebuds 6i retains the 11mm quad-magnet dynamic drivers, but is now 50% more powerful and Hi-Res certified. The housing is exactly the same as the predecessor, while the buttons show minuscule differences.
The biggest change is in the battery capacity. The Buds retained the 55mAh capacity, but the case now has a 510mAh cell, a 25% increase over last year's Freebuds. This means another two hours of playback time on a single charge: 8 hours with ANC turned off and 5 hours with ANC turned on. However, a larger capacity means a longer charging time: the case needs 110 minutes, while the earbuds need 60 minutes to go from 0 to 100%.
The earbuds are IP54 certified and can be connected to any device via Bluetooth 5.3. There is seamless connectivity to devices running EMUI 10 and older, while any other Android phone can download AI Life from the App Gallery for more control options such as noise cancellation type and gesture control.

Huawei listed the Freebuds 6i in three colors: white, purple and black. The company has not yet announced any details about pricing and availability.
