I3 Broadband will expand fiber-optic internet service to Love's Park, Illinois


Illinois-based Internet service provider i3 Broadband has announced the continued expansion of a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network in the Greater Rockford area, with plans to offer 100 percent fiber-optic internet to residents and business owners in Love's Park.

Fiber extension to Love's Park

The company says the planned addition to Love's Park is part of its long-term effort to bring new or improved internet services to Greater Rockford communities. In late January of this year, i3 Broadband officially activated approximately 5,400 fiber connections in the cities of Rockford, Roscoe and Machesney Park.

i3 Broadband began the first phases of launching service in and through Love's Park in late April, with the goal of activating a total of approximately 14,200 passes in Greater Rockford by the end of 2024, including several thousand in Love's Park. The ISP is aiming to officially launch services in Love's Park in the coming months.
