onnie Irwin is open about his hopes of spending some quality time with his family at a music festival this summer as he continues to battle terminal cancer.
The former A Place In The Sun presenter, 49, raised concerns about his health last month after revealing that he celebrated his 50th birthday early despite not reaching milestone age until November.
Now the TV star, who shares sons Rex, 3, and two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac with wife Jessica, is watching the Lindisfarne festival they can attend, which he said they attended last year and love it enjoyed.
He took to Instagram and wrote: “Went here last year and had a great time. Praying for good weather – Rex probably just praying for more sugar! #lindisfarnefestival.” He also posted heartwarming photos of his family at the festival last year.
This year’s festival runs from August 31 to September 3 at Beal Farm in Northumberland, with a line-up that includes bands Primal Scream and Pendulum.
He also shared a series of sweet throwback photos of himself and his oldest son at last year’s festival.
Irwin was diagnosed when he had only six months to live diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in August 2020, and publicly shared his forecast in December. He has already announced that the cancer has spread to his brain.
In a health update last month, Irwin shared The sun: “I’m weak now, fragile and my memory is terrible… but I’m still here.”
