Kate Beckinsale has written an emotional message after being 'bullied' apparently 'unrecognizable'.

The 50-year-old actress described the messages she has received as 'insidious' and admitted that although she 'hates talking about the matter', the abuse is 'taking its toll'.

Take to social mediaKate posted two videos side by side. One was hers 20 years ago, and another was filmed this week.

'The difference between these videos could be twenty years, maybe even more. Every time I post something – and it's been like this since I was 30, by the way – I'm accused of having had unrecognizable surgery/using Botox with fillers/being obsessed with looking younger, and it's so tiring and subtle A mean way to bully someone,” she wrote in her caption.

“I don't actually do any of those things — I've even gone to the trouble of having a plastic surgeon state categorically that I don't do that and haven't done that, and yet every time there's a chorus of my God , you are unrecognizable. Oh my God PLASTIC, oh my God, you don't even look like yourself anymore, it happens all the time and it's usually women doing it,” she gushed.

Kate added that “life happens” and that she has, of course, gotten older.

She stated that she is “not too concerned about growing older” because after losing her father when she was just five years old, she struggled mentally throughout her teenage years.

'I spent most of my teens and much of my twenties absolutely crippled with severe anxiety and panic attacks, to the point that I was also going to die of a heart attack, and often went to the emergency rooms, and almost, at the time of my life, completely immobilized by that fear,” she confessed.

“The fact that one of the main things I'm bullied about is the assumption that I can't handle the idea of growing older is as deeply ironic as my all-consuming fear was that I never thought I'd even see the end of my life.” would see life. 20's.'

Kate further acknowledged that she was paler in the video from 20 years ago because she lived in Britain at the time.

She also plucked her eyebrows and “loved that brown lipstick everyone was wearing.”

'I had a fuller face, like most of us in our late teens and twenties. Makeup techniques were matte, not nearly as shiny. I thought contours were something I found difficult in geography classes.'

The movie star concluded by saying that her real and raw post “will have absolutely no effect” and that the bullying “won't stop.”

“But I'm also posting it because no matter what someone looks like, constantly accusing them of things they didn't do, or obsessing over youth, while my current obsession with surviving loss is bullying,” she wrote.

“Please stop now,” Kate begged.

She received an outpouring of love and support in the comments from her fans.

Instagram user outlandish_creations wrote: 'Unfortunately some people are mean and jealous because you are so beautiful! Bullying is horrible and these people are very insecure. You are an amazing, kind and thoughtful person xx'

Battersby was a director, known for his work on major British TV productions including Inspector Morse and Cracker.

His most recent work was an episode of A Touch Of Frost eight years ago, while his film credits include Red Mercury and Winter Flight.

In January, Kate said she was 'speechless' and reflected on how she had been 'fighting everything' [she] had for him.

Then, after his death, Kate was heartbroken.
