Kim Kardashian booed at Tom Brady Roast on Netflix

Kim Kardashian received a mixed response from the audience the Tom Brady roast on Sunday evening.

The reality star and businesswoman took the stage with a glass of champagne in hand. She was first greeted with applause and said 'thank you' in response. But then the cheers exceeded the cheers, and Kardashian stopped for a moment to take a look. “Okay, okay, okay,” she said, laughing slightly.

Off-screen, Hart could be heard saying, “Whoa, whoa.”

The boos subsided and Kardashian started turning off her jokes.

She noticed the rumors that once circulated that she and Brady were dating. “I know there were rumors that we were, and I would never say whether we did or not,” she said. “I would just release a tape.”

She continued, “But I know it would never work,” noting that Brady is a former athlete with strong cheekbones and “silky hair.”

“You remind me too much of my stepdad right now,” she joked about Caitlyn Jenner. “Oh, part of me thinks you would [date] just to try on my clothes. I know the transition from the NFL must have been very difficult. But I think my stepfather is a great example for you. She is one of the best athletes in the world and has proven that you can do anything in this next chapter of your life. You can become a commentator, a far-right Republican or even a strong, confident woman.”

She added, “Honestly, it's hard for me to watch people roast you. But I think enough of my family members have helped defend former football players,” she joked about her late father, Robert Kardashian, who was part of OJ Simpson's defense team during the latter's murder trial.

When Brady later took the stage, he made a quick comment about Kardashian's ex-husband Kanye West.

“Thank you so much for being here,” he told her. “I know Kim was terrified to be here tonight. Not because of that, but because her children are at home with their father.”

The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, which was part of the Netflix Is a Joke Fest was streamed live, which was touted by Netflix as the first-ever roast to be broadcast live and unedited. The festivities were held at the Kia Forum of LA in Inglewood.
