Kuo: Galaxy S23 series only uses Snapdragon chipsets

In recent years, Samsung has relied on a two-chipset approach for its Galaxy S series: the internal Exynos SoCs in regions such as Europe and Asia and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips elsewhere. The performance differences between the two chipsets naturally created rifts among consumers and Samsung could finally put an end to that.

well-known analyst Ming Chi Kuo’ believes Qualcomm will be the sole chipset provider for the Galaxy S23 series with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (SM-8550) powering all S23 units worldwide.

Kuo believes Samsung is not confident in the performance of its forthcoming Exynos 2300 chip compared to Qualcomm’s next flagship in computing power and energy efficiency. There is still a long way to go before we get to the reveal of the Galaxy S23 series, so more information is sure to surface.
