Marvel Rivals has Squirrel Girl in it – plus 38 other lesser superheroes

Two separate leaks have confirmed all the characters in the free-to-play game Miracle Rivals, plus all their skills and five in-game locations.

After some information about the third person shooter leaked early, NetEase announced Marvel Rivals at the end of March a 6v6 free to play gameThat's basically what it looks like Overwatch with superheroes,

A closed alpha was planned for May, and dataminers have now gotten a lot of new information about the game's characters and locations from that build.

One datamine has identified 19 unannounced playable superheroes and five mapped locations. While another leak has found almost all the abilities the characters can use.

We already knew that Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Storm, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, The Punisher and more would be playable characters in Marvel Rivals.

However, a datamine has revealed a host of new superheroes, such as Thor, Blade, Venom, Wolverine, Hawkeye, The Thing, Psylocke and Invisible Woman.

Even GameCentral favorite Squirrel Girl made the cut, alongside Iron Fist (Lin Lie), Mr Fantastic, Jeff the Landshark and Cloak and Dagger.

The datamine, by Miller Ross on Twitter, also found five locations with their own maps, namely: Hydra Erebus Base, The Intergalactic Empire Of Wakanda, Klyntar, Empire of Eternal Night and Krakoa.

This will all be familiar to comic book fans, even if some of them haven't appeared in live-action films.

Leaker iFireMonkey has posted footage to social media, showing off the abilities that most of the playable characters can use in the game, such as the iconic Hulk Smash, Storm's Omega Hurricane, and Iron Man's Unibeam.

For legal reasons we can't show them here, but if you're interested they're not hard to find.

However, the footage doesn't include the abilities of each character as the leaker says the servers are down, which could mean it will be difficult to get more information for a while.

Most importantly, though, it's now in public beta, so everyone gets a chance to decide if this is just an inferior Overwatch clone or something that can do justice to the power of the unbeatable Squirrel Girl.
