It's been a roller coaster of a year for the Firm – from dozens of royal engagements to King Charles and Princess Kate announce their battle against cancer.

But besides all that, the Royal family has dodged the bombs Meghan and Harry threw at them.

The Sussexes have now been accused of launching unfair attacks on the royal family while cashing in on their ties to the firm.

And it is those factors that, according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, ruined Charles' first year as king.

He said the Sussexes are evicted from Frogmore Cottage saw them taking revenge.

Richard told The Sun: “The facts are simply with Harry and Megan after Spare, enough was enough so he had them evicted from Frogmore Cottage, and I don't think they expected that.

'And they certainly didn't like that.

'But the revelations in Spare, and not just the attacks on the royal family in that book and in the Job interviews around it, which large numbers of people were looking at, obviously what Harry was responsible for, and it was his memoirs.

The expert said that although Spare had been released the year before, its aftermath still had an impact on the king's reign.

Richard continued: 'Spare was so poorly planned that you felt he had had no advice but had to attack Queen Camille was clearly a red line, as noted by the press he is so hostile to.

“That's why it was important that the king acted as he did.”

Richard also accused Harry and Meghan of 'make money from their ties to the royal family“.

He added: 'There is no doubt that the expulsion of the Sussexes from their home in Britain was something that showed enormous royal displeasure.

“And I think it was absolutely the right thing to do.”

'There is also no doubt that the argument arose with her Omid Scobie later in the year and all that was also very, very useless.

“But what you're not going to get now and the Sussexes is them make money with their connections with the royal family.”

He added: “It seems like they will be in the news forever, and how they behave and what they decide to do will obviously be a matter for them.”

Harry and Meghan's betrayal

Oprah interview

Harry and Meghan's explosive conversation with Oprah Winfrey saw them make a series of revelations.

The Duke And Duchess of Sussex confirmed that no topic was “off limits” during the explosive chat in March 2021.

The interview yielded a series of breathtaking comments, collecting over 6,000 complaints from UK viewers and even encourage a response from the Queen.

This included a claim that two royals questioned the color of Prince Archie's skin.

Meghan left jaws dropping after addressing her and Kate's bridesmaid dress after telling Oprah Kate made HER cry in the run-up to her wedding.

Meg told Oprah it was hard to see a “story that didn't happen” emerge after it was reported she left Kate in tears over her demands for Princess Charlotte's bridesmaid dress.

Instead, she told chat show Queen: “The opposite happened.”

There was more to come in Harry's book, as he recalled an alleged altercation with his brother William that ended with him falling into a dog litter box.

He also revealed how William disapproved of Harry's marriage to Meghan, once calling her 'difficult', 'rude' and 'abrasive'.

Harry's father King Charles was also in the line of fire for criticism. Harry took his father to task for not hugging him after the death of his mother, Diana, the late Princess of Wales, claiming the king often made jokes in “bad taste” about his paternity.

Kate, who once hailed Harry as the 'sister I never had', and stepmother Camilla were also not spared from the attack.

The Princess of Wales was accused of being cold towards her sister-in-law Meghan and claimed she was “disgusted” when Meghan asked to use her lip gloss.

He also partly blamed Kate and William for his decision to wear the controversial Nazi uniform to a fancy dress party in 2005, claiming they both “cried” when they saw him.

Netflix show

Harry and Meghan's Netflix docuseries threw bombs at The Firm – seeing it torn set aside by royal experts.

To the horror of many, stories were told about it Meghan's “shocking” first meeting with Princess Kate and Harry makes jokes about his father.

But despite the attention it attracted, it wasn't even in the top 200 most-watched films Netflix shows from January to June last year.

The document was torn apart because it gave examples of 'truths' that did not seem to correspond to reality.

While the privacy-loving couple whined about their struggles in the latter part of their Netflix docuseriesthey glossed over some important details.

Also in one apparent excavation in the parentage of his father, King Charles, Harry claimed he was “raised” by friends in Africa.

The Sun has contacted the Sussexes and Buckingham Palace for comment.

Richard spoke as Harry and Charles were revealed are ready for another reunion.

The Duke will spend some time at St Paul's Cathedral Invictus games ceremony and it is believed he is “very keen” to see his father.

They talked for 30 minutes in February and days afterward the king'the diagnosis of cancer.

The king, 75, was recently cleared to resume public duties as he is being treated canceris expected to attend the first of the year Buckingham Palace garden party from 4 p.m.

Both events end around 6pm, paving the way for a first meeting since Harry's flute tour in early February.

A royal source told The Sun: “Harry is normally 5,000 miles away California but by a happy coincidence they will be only two miles apart on Wednesday.

“It is clear that he is keen to see his father as he continues his recovery and most people are expecting some sort of reunion again next week.”

It is unlikely that Prince will be involved in the potential meeting Williamwho was stung by his brother's attacks and hasn't spoken to him since Queen Elizabeth'S funeral.
