Mikel Arteta has confidence in it Fulham's unconventional training methods will pay off Manchester city on Saturday.

The Gunners are hoping for a favor from their side London neighbors who will face Manchester City at the early kick-off tomorrow.

A rare misstep from Pep Guardiola's men would put Arsenal back in control of the title race ahead of their box office clash against Manchester United on Saturday.

Arsenal fans were understandably perplexed earlier this week when footage emerged of Fulham's Motspur Park training ground showing three Brazilian players flying kites.

Arteta himself has been known to try some quirky methods in the past, once infamously installing loudspeakers on the training ground in an attempt to emulate the notoriously hostile Liverpool crowd ahead of a match at Anfield.

Asked about his reaction to Fulham's flying antics, Arteta said: 'It's the power of team bonding, nobody knows what it is but sometimes you get great results.

“I've been on teams that were struggling, went out to dinner and then went on an incredible run. I'm really sure this will happen with Fulham.'

Former Arsenal star Willian was among the players who took part in the kite flying, but the experienced winger insists he and his teammates will take the task of beating City seriously in a bid to complete another strong domestic season at a high level Close.

He said: 'It's always good to play against the big teams, especially City, who – for me – are the best team in the world. 'It will of course be a difficult task for us, but it is always a pleasure to play these kinds of matches.

To beat them, you have to be perfect. At every moment of the game, in every aspect of the game. If you sleep for five seconds, they can kill us. I think it will be a great game to play.

“We respect them a lot, like I said, they are the best team in the world, but we can't be afraid to play against them. We have to go there on Saturday and do our best to win the game.

'We have examples: we played against two big teams and beat them at home. And now we have another chance to do the same.

Of course it will be a tough task, a difficult match to play, but I think we can do something special together.'

On the prospect of helping Arsenal, he added: “To be honest, I'm not thinking about helping Arsenal or any other club,” he explained. “We have to think about ourselves, to play the best game we can on Saturday.

'We still have two games to go and we have to fight for the points, but for me personally I don't think about any other situation, about any other club. I think about myself and my club.'
