Millionaire 'James Bond of crypto', 25, reveals how he fled crime-ridden London 'in fear for his life' after hammer-wielding thugs on mopeds smashed his Lamborghini in a bid to steal his £200,000 Richard Mille watch to steal

A millionaire has told how he was forced to leave London because he 'feared for his life' after hammer-wielding thugs smashed his Lamborghini in a bid to steal his £200,000 watch.

Djordje Novakovic, a 25-year-old entrepreneur and influencer, fled crime-ridden London Dubai last year after the 'terrifying' attack in Edgware Road, north-west London.

The self-proclaimed 'James Bond or crypto', which is worth £35 million, revealed how two masked teenagers on mopeds rolled up to his £250,000 Lamborghini Hurricane Evo before smashing his windows with hammers, leaving him with bloody hands.

Mr Novakovic, who used to live in the luxurious St George's Wharf in Vauxhall, told MailOnline: 'It was terrifying to be honest, thank God I'm still here and I haven't been stabbed. It was a lesson and a warning to leave the country and be more careful in my life.”

He added: “That's why I wanted to move from London. I also had a friend who was kidnapped, one was stabbed in the legs after a nightclub in Mayfair, for me it was not the place to stay. Am I going to lose my life for a £200,000 watch? I think life is priceless, that's why I moved. I didn't feel safe at all.'

Recalling the evening attack on December 19, 2022, he said: “That day I was wearing a Richard Mille watch that cost £200,000. I was stuck in traffic [on Edgware Road].

'My car comes from Switzerland, so the driving side is on the left. Suddenly I see something going between cars and I see two guys with masks and a hammer in their hands.

'I'm not stupid, I knew what they were coming for, so I immediately put my watch in my underwear.

“They stopped at my window and had their hammers. They were about to break my window.

“I was so scared, I was honestly fucking myself.”

Mr Novakovic, who is originally from Geneva, Switzerland, but moved to London for university, tried to get away but the two lanes were completely blocked to traffic.

He added: 'My car was completely destroyed. It was crazy. I couldn't go any further, so I had to stop. They came with the hammers and broke my windows and said, 'Where's your watch? We followed you.'

“I was like, 'bro, I don't have a watch, look at my wrist.'

'But it was scary because I was on the phone with my girlfriend at the same time. They took my phone and it was still online. They told me to leave the car so my girlfriend thought I had been kidnapped.”

She called the police. She then called my parents, who live in Switzerland, to say she thought I had been kidnapped. So my parents were fucking too.

“I left the car, they had knives and they asked for the key, so I just threw the key at them.

'They jumped in the car, drove it a mile and dropped it because they couldn't find anything. They smashed more of my car, smashing the windows and the inside rear window and trying to open everything to see if the watch was hidden.

'When they broke the window, I was bleeding because the window exploded. My hands were bleeding so a man stopped and I jumped in the car and he drove me to the nearest police station.”

Mr Novakovic, who owns several luxury cars, private jets and even a pet orangutan, said he did not feel “safe at all” in London after the incident.

He continued, “You always think it's going to happen to others, until it happens to you.

'If it happens to you, your life changes, you think differently. When I go home, I check that no one is following me. After that you don't live the same life anymore.

“I feared for my life, I would have tried to hit them, if they managed to stab and kill me, what's the point? A watch isn't worth my life.

'I was just scared, I think they were very young. It was two guys on a motorcycle. When I said I don't have a watch, one of the guys asked the other: what should we do?

“The other said, 'I don't know, let's jump in the car.' They had no experience, probably 16 or 17 year old kids who didn't really care.

“They knew they probably wouldn't end up in jail or have to deal with anything major. If they manage to steal a £200,000 watch and sell it on for half the price, £100,000, they have won the lottery – they are delusional about the risks they are taking and killing someone.

“Police were able to locate the stolen car after it was abandoned by the thugs.

Mr Novakovic moved permanently to Dubai last September to “start a normal life without being afraid”.

When asked if he would ever return to London, he said: 'To be honest, I don't know. I feel like the situation is getting worse. I hope to become a father in the coming years, I don't want my child to end up in a country where people are being robbed.'

Mr Novakocic has made most of his wealth from crypto trading and also runs several technology companies, a marketing agency and owns real estate.

He is friends with a number of celebrities, including British rappers Fredo, Notes and Digga D and YouTubers Yung Filly and Deji – KSI's younger brother.
