A woman who fell from a stadium stand during a university graduation ceremony has been identified as the mother of a student receiving a diploma.

Larissa Brady, 53, was named by the Franklin County Coroner's Office as the person who collapsed during commencement at Ohio State University on Sunday afternoon.

Investigators “do not suspect foul play or an accidental fall,” university police said Tuesday.

“Ohio State mourns the death of Larissa Brady, a family member of one of our graduates,” a spokesperson said The independent.

“Our thoughts go out to her family and friends at this exceptionally difficult time.”

Brady was pronounced dead at the scene after falling 130 feet from Ohio Stadium shortly after 12:30 p.m. as students arrived for the graduation ceremony, WBNS10 reported. The ceremony continued uninterrupted after her death.

About 12,500 students were present at the time of the fatal accident, and some appeared distressed, it is reported The Columbus Dispatch.

Brady was identified by her fingerprints.

The campus is offering counseling to community members, university spokesman Ben Johnson told the university New York Post.
